The BEST Grant collaborative partners will establish two Local Braille Production Centers (LBPC) in school districts. The establishment of these centers will expand braille production capabilities at the local school district level. The application and information packet for district’s to apply to become a Local Braille Production Center can be found at the links below.
Districts must prepare for the new braille code for students who are blind/visually impaired. A Transition Plan and Transition Timeline have been developed to provide districts with guidance and resources for implementation.
The Ohio Department of Education (ODE), Office for Exceptional Children (OEC) is clarifying section II.5.b of the State Complaint Procedures C-5 Effective 12/12/2014.
The Department of Treasury¹s Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) is now accepting and processing applications nationwide from blind or visually impaired individuals who wish to receive a free currency reader.
