Due to the great response to its general Resident Educator Summative Assessment (RESA) webinar series, Teachscape has added two task-specific webinars in the coming weeks. The webinars will review the requirements and technical aspects of RESA Task 3 on April 15 and Task 4 on April 22. Teachscape and the Ohio Department of Education encourage all RESA parties to attend both of the task-specific webinars. Details and registration information are inside.
The FAQ for the Resident Educator Summative Assessment (RESA) now features answers to common questions asked during recent webinars. See inside for resources to help RESA candidates complete their tasks on time.
The Ohio Department of Education has worked with the Ohio Education Research Center (OERC) to develop an analysis of the supply and demand for kindergarten through grade 12 teachers in Ohio. This study identifies where there are shortages (and excesses) of teachers across locations, grade levels and subjects taught (including specialized classes i.e. vocational or special education). This study also forecasts future changes to the supply and demand for Ohio teachers. This forecast can inform policy makers, teacher preparation programs, school districts and educational service centers in forming strategic plans as they relate to teacher supply and demand.
Timeline, Overview, and Action Plans have been posted for Year 4 of the Resident Educator Program
