Candidates for new early childhood, middle childhood and intervention specialist teaching licenses in Ohio will soon need to pass a new reading test, Foundations of Reading (Ohio Assessment for Educators 090). This change in state law is effective for these licenses that the Ohio Department of Education issues on July 1, 2017, and thereafter. Learn more here.
The new online Step Up To Quality (SUTQ) training modules, Ohio’s Approach to Quality and Ohio’s Overview to Child Development are now available on the Ohio Professional Registry (OPR)!
To access these courses, you will need to create a Profile in the OPR. You should logon to the OPR through the OCCRRA website https://www.occrra.org/ and click on the tab, “Create Profile.” Once you have a Profile, you can click on “Find Training” to access the courses. Click on the module title in the announcement box at the top of the page to register for each module. Once you have registered for each course, check out by clicking the shopping cart on the top right of the screen. Return to your profile, go to My Scheduled Trainings, click on the training title and from the event description page, you can access the training.
