Nearly 140 nominations were received statewide for the second annual Ohio Career-Technical Education graduating class success story recognition. One per career field was chosen based on a dozen different criteria. The following will receive a special certificate and have their stories used in various channels throughout the next 12 months. On Tuesday, May 14, the State Board of Education unanimously approved an Ohio Career-Technical Education (CTE) Report Card for 2012-2013. Ohio’s new CTE accountability system is believed to be the first of its kind in the nation to go beyond the secondary career-tech accountability requirements as defined by the federal Carl D. Perkins Vocational and Technical Education Act. Click here.
