Career Tech Student Learning Objectives (SLO)

A student learning objective is a measurable, long-term academic growth target that a teacher sets at the beginning of the school year for all students or for subgroups of students. Student learning objectives demonstrate a teacher’s impact on student learning. The following are career tech SLO examples that are not intended to be inclusive. Career tech’s role with new GED legislation

Ohio House Bill 59, the state’s current biennium budget bill, outlines career-technical planning district (CTPD) responsibilities related to guaranteeing that first-time General Educational Development (GED®) test takers will not have to pay any additional money when costs for the new computer-based version triple in 2014. Information about the test and requirements is provided in an Ohio Department of Education press release issued Aug. 6, 2013.
