Data review and data appeal windows open for CTE March (D) data

Beginning Wednesday, July 20 through Wednesday, Aug. 3, superintendents of districts that offer career-technical education (CTE) programming may conduct their required review of their 2016 March (D) Collections in EMIS. These data will affect their career-technical planning district’s technical skill attainment, placement and industry credential measures on the 2016 Ohio Career-Technical Education Report Cards.

Early Childhood Education Grant Updates

New Resources Available
The Office of Early Learning and School Readiness is pleased to announce the availability of two new technical assistance documents to support Early Childhood Education (ECE) grantees.

Early Childhood Education Eligibility Screening Tool Now Available
ECE grant recipients are required to use the common application/screening tool developed by ODE and the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services. 

Fiscal Updates
Early Childhood Education funds have been loaded into the Continuous Comprehensive Improvement Plan (CCIP) for FY 17 for most grantees.

Data review and data appeal windows open for dropout prevention and recovery school vendor assessments

Beginning Monday, July 18 through Wednesday, July 27, superintendents of dropout prevention and recovery (DORP) schools may conduct their required review of their 2016 fall and spring DORP assessment collections in EMIS (NWEA MAP/Growth assessment). The value-added data from these assessments will affect their schools’ Progress measure and overall school rating on the 2016 Ohio School Report Cards.
