Quality Program Standards Available
To improve the quality of Ohio’s Career-Technical programs and provide the best education possible to our students, we invite you to begin using the newly established Quality Program Standards for Career-Technical Education programs. These standards are the basis for future reviews of all career-technical education programs. We thank all who contributed to our review process for these standards.
The Office of Career-Technical Education will pilot these standards throughout the state of Ohio and across all career field programs. We are making sure there is a cross section of all programs in the pilot by reaching out to professional organizations involved with career-tech. Participation in the pilot is voluntary. The pilot will begin in January and will end no later than Feb. 28, 2014. After final refinements resulting from the pilot, we will use these tools throughout the annual review process. Working together, these standards can ensure our students a bright future and promise within their chosen fields.
If you have any questions, please contact Leah Amstutz, assistant director, Office of Career-Technical Education, at (614) 644-5924.
