FY15 Funding Data Review Window Extended to Friday, April 15, 2016
Treasurers and superintendents are required to review funding data from EMIS and SOES/ODDEX and complete the “FY 2015 EMIS Data Review for Funding Report” form in SAFE, per Ohio Revised Code 3317.03 (B).

To help districts/community schools review FY15 data, districts should use the following reports from the FY15 Final #3 adjustments (as applicable):
  • FY15 Final #3 Detail FTE Reports
  • FY15 Final #3 Detail CTE FTE Reports
  • FY15 Final #3 Fatal Error Reports
  • FY15 Flags in SOES/ODDEX
For more information about the funding data review window, timeline and completion process for both treasurers and superintendents, click here.

Examples of EMIS data covered by this FY15 funding data review window include, but are not limited to: course, calendar, attendance, LEP, disability, disadvantagement, grade level, sent to/how received, percent of time, and withdrawal reason. Examples of SOES/ODDEX data covered by this FY15 funding appeals window include, but are not limited to SOES/ODDEX issues/flags and enrollment.

The “FY 2015 EMIS Data Review for Funding Report” form must reflect a “Treasurer Approved” status before the superintendent has the ability to approve the form, and in doing so, officially submitting it to the department. Note that at this time, EMIS Coordinators do not have access to the Data Review forms.

If you have any questions regarding the data review or data appeals processes, please contact the Office of Data Quality.

Treasurers and superintendents may alert the department to a funding data reporting concern and request an opportunity to make corrections using the “FY 2015 Data Appeal for Funding” form in SAFE.

For more information about the funding data appeal window, timeline and completion process for both treasurers and superintendents, click here.

Examples of EMIS data covered by this FY15 funding data appeal window include, but are not limited to: course, calendar, attendance, LEP, disability, disadvantagement, grade level, sent to/how received, percent of time, and withdrawal reason. Please note that the “FY 2015 Data Appeal for Funding” form can initially be filled out and saved by either the Superintendent, Treasurer, EMIS Coordinator, or Superintendent Designee.  The form, however, must reflect a “Treasurer Approved” status before the superintendent has the ability to approve the form, and in doing so, officially submitting it to the department. The form can only be submitted once, so include ALL appealed issues on the same form.
