2020 Data Appeal for Assessment, Calendar, Staff, and Course Data Opens Soon
Starting Monday, August 10, superintendents may appeal 2020 assessment data for Dropout Prevention & Recovery, as well as student, OELPA, OGT, calendar, staff, and course data. These data may affect measures on the 2020 Ohio School Report Cards, as well as state funding received by the district. This data can be appealed through Thursday, August 20.

FY20 Data Review for Report Card Data Opens Soon
From Monday, August 10 through Friday, September 11, superintendents must complete a required review of their 2020 student, assessment, calendar, staff, course and CTE follow up data reported in EMIS, Ohio’s Education Management Information System. Superintendents must signify whether these data are accurate as they complete and submit the 2020 Data Review for the Report Card form. 

EMIS Data Review and Verification forms are part of EMIS reporting described in Ohio Revised Code 3301.0714. Superintendents are legally required to review and certify the quality of data, as noted in Ohio Administrative Code 3301-14-01 (G). Failing to complete the process may trigger progressive sanctions as outlined in Ohio Administrative Code 3301-17.  
 
The superintendent, EMIS coordinator, and superintendent designee can access and fill out the data review forms. However, the forms are not officially submitted to the Department until the superintendent approves the form to complete the process.
