EMIS Newsflash – February 20, 2015
The Office of Federal Programs sent out the following message regarding the FLICS deadline:
“This is formal notification that the FLICS deadline of February 22, 2015 will still be used to make Title I reallocations. However, important enhancements to the EMIS, SOES, ODDEX systems continue and community schools have identified continued concerns about the number of flags placed on student records. As such, the second Title I reallocation that occurs in the spring will make some adjustments for students enrolled on October 1 that should have received a full allocation in the fall. Those students deemed eligible will still receive a full allocation as opposed to the traditional 50 percent prorated amount in the spring.
This will meet the need of reallocating Title I funds while also allowing additional time for resident districts and community schools to resolve student records, continue improvements to ODE’s data systems, and alleviate concerns that LEA’s have continued to express. If you have any questions, please send them to James Lansden in the Office of Federal Programs at 614-728-3018 or firstname.lastname@example.org
. Your patience in this matter is appreciated.”
EMIS Coordinators and SOES Coordinators with questions about EMIS data submissions and/or the SOES system issues should still request help through their ITCs and the EMIS Helpdesk; only questions specific to FLICS should go to James Lansden.
