FLICS Update
The Office of Federal Programs sent out the following message regarding the FLICS deadline:
“This is formal notification that the FLICS deadline that was originally scheduled for February 9, 2015 has been extended to February 22, 2015.  This extension is necessary to accommodate important enhancements that have been made to the EMIS, SOES, ODDEX systems and that are meant to allow additional time for resident districts and community schools to resolve student records and alleviate concerns that LEA’s have expressed over the past two weeks.  Title I reallocations will subsequently follow the closing of FLICS after February 22, 2015.  If you have any questions regarding this extension, please send them to James Lansden in the Office of Federal Programs at 614-728-3018 or Your patience in this matter is appreciated.”
EMIS Coordinators and SOES Coordinators with questions about EMIS data submissions and/or the SOES system issues should still request help through their ITCs and the EMIS Helpdesk; only questions specific to the FLICS extension should go to James Lansden.
Traditional districts and community schools should make reviewing and resolving residency issues in SOES a priority from now until February 22.
Next Round of ODE EMIS Training Sessions Scheduled
ODE EMIS Training Staff are scheduled for their next round of visits to ITC locations across the state from February 23, 2015 through March 20, 2015.  Training will primarily focus on reporting Assessment related data. Please refer to the attached schedule for dates and locations.
EMIS Coordinators interested in attending at a location other than the ITC used for EMIS submissions will need to contact the alternate ITC location in advance to ensure space is available.
