FY19 Initial Staff/Course (L) Collection Extended
Originally scheduled to close this Thursday, January 31, this collection will now close on Monday, February 4.
 
Identifiable and Confidential Student Information
A reminder that the EMIS department cannot legally possess identifiable information about students. This includes student names and addresses and SSNs. When contacting a data manager at the Department for assistance with your EMIS data/reports, do not include student names or addresses or other identifiable information.
 
Additionally, student information—including SSIDs—should not be sent over insecure email. If it is necessary to send SSIDs, please work with your contact at the Department to determine how to send them.
 
When contacting staff in EMIS or in business offices for assistance with EMIS reports, do not include copies of reports that contain student names or information. All data managers have access to the Report Collector, which allows access to a version of your reports that does not contain information we are not legally allowed to possess. Providing the reporting IRN, report name, and error name/number is sufficient information for us to assist you in most cases.
 
ODE ITC EMIS Trainings for February/March 2019
Dates and times for the February/March 2019 ODE ITC EMIS Trainings for district and ITC EMIS staff were previously announced in the December 18, 2018, Newsflash. Delivery is via Skype for Business and conference call.
 
Prior registration is required. The February/March trainings will be offered on five different dates/times. Topics to be discussed during the five trainings will include Gen Issues, Assessment Collections, the CCP redesign and SCR conflicts in ODDEX, the March Follow-Up (D) Collection, and the Five Year Forecast – Initial Optional (P) Collection. Registrants will be able to select a date that best fits their schedule at the time of registration, as long as space is available. Capacity is 150 registrants per session. Please register for only one session.
 
Registration is now available in the STARS application.
 
A SAFE account and completion of the STARS User Profile are required to register. Search for keyword “EMIS” within the STARS application to locate the trainings. A Skype meeting invitation will be emailed to each registrant by the close of business the day prior to the session. The email invitation will include full instructions for participating in the session, as well as any handouts.
