New EMIS Coordinator Training
The Ohio Department of Education will be hosting a full day (8:30 am to 4:00 pm) New EMIS Coordinator Training for any EMIS Coordinators with 3 or fewer years of experience. The topics to be covered include EMIS Basics, Special Education, the Data Collector & Flat File Editor, and the Ohio District Data Exchange (ODDEX). This is not the same training that was provided in April.
Two different dates will be offered: Friday, August 10 and Friday, August 24. Do not register for both sessions.
Space is limited and prior registration is required.
To register, participants must have a SAFE Account and must complete the STARS User Profile. Search for keyword “EMIS” within the STARS application to locate the training; be sure to adjust the “starts between” dates to include the training dates listed above.
All registrants will initially be placed on a waitlist. This is to ensure that there is enough seating available and to allow new coordinators priority registration.
If you do not receive an email telling you you are on the waitlist, then you did not complete the registration process. There is a final confirmation button that you must click.
Once you are removed from the waitlist, you will receive another email letting you know either that you are registered or that you are not.
The presentations and final agenda (including directions to the venue) will be available on our website. The link to the materials will be emailed to confirmed registrants based on the email addresses in STARS, so be sure that your STARS profile is up to date.
