FY17 Career Tech Accountability Assessment (A) Collection, v2
An updated FY17 Career Tech Accountability Assessment (A) Collection Request has been released. Please refer to the Release Notes for details.
 
FY17 Student and Assessment Data Review and Appeals Open
Beginning Monday, July 31 through Tuesday, Aug. 8, superintendents may conduct the required review of their student and assessment data submitted in EMIS. These data will not only affect many measures on the 2017 Ohio School Report Cards, but also will impact the amount of state funding received by the district.

Superintendents are to signify whether these data are accurate as they complete the “2017 Report Card Data Review” form, which is within the Forms application in SAFE. If a superintendent knows of inaccurate data, he or she also should submit an appeal by the Aug. 8 deadline using the “2017 Data Appeal for Spring Assessments” and/or “2017 Data Appeal for Student Data” forms.
 
Please note that this will be the only opportunity for districts to submit data appeals related to their Fiscal Year 2017 student data collection. A district’s own student data will not be subject to appeal during the FY17 funding data appeals window scheduled to take place in the fall of 2017. Districts are encouraged to leverage all EMIS, funding and report card-related reports available to review and assess the accuracy of their student data before the Aug. 8 deadline. The funding data appeals window will allow an opportunity to appeal cross-district data (such as community school funding flags and overlapping enrollment) and career-technical education-related course data that impact funding.

The superintendent, treasurer, EMIS coordinator and superintendent designee have access to both the data review and data appeal forms. The forms are not officially submitted to the Department until the superintendent approves the form and completes the process.

SDC Now Open
The SDC is now open for review of many of the reports related to the FY17 Local Report Card data.

SDC Release Notes
SDC release notes are posted in a separate SDC Release Notes document on ODE’s website. The website provides a list of SDC reports, a high level description of whether or not each report is ready for district review, and any important additional details about the status of the report, including any known issues associated with the report as of the last date the website is updated.  
 
SDC Release Notes will also continue to be included in the EMIS Newsflashes that go out when the SDC is open.
 
SDC Release Notes as of July 31, 2017
SDC reports include your district’s final EMIS data reported as of July 28, 2017. If errors are found, submit a data appeal by the Aug. 8 deadline.
