FY19 CTE March (D) Follow-up Data Appeal Window Open
The following information will also appear in EdConnection.

Data review window open for 2019 CTE March follow-up data
Beginning Monday, May 13 through Friday, Sept. 6, superintendents must complete the required review of their 2019 CTE March (D) data reported in EMIS. Superintendents must signify whether these data are accurate as they complete and submit the 2019 Data Review for CTE form.

EMIS Data Review and Verification forms are considered part of EMIS reporting as described in Ohio Revised Code 3301.0714. Superintendents are legally required to review and certify the quality of data, as noted in Ohio Administrative Code 3301-14-01 (G). Failing to complete the process may trigger progressive sanctions outlined in OAC 3301-17.

The superintendent, EMIS coordinator and superintendent designee all can access and fill out the data review forms. However, the forms are not officially submitted to the Department until the superintendent approves the form to complete the process.

For more information about the data review window, timeline and completion process, visit the EMIS Data Review & Verification webpage. For questions regarding data reviews, contact the Department's Office of Data Quality.

Data Appeal for 2019 CTE March follow-up data open through June 14
Starting Monday, May 13 through Friday, June 14, superintendents may appeal 2019 CTE March (D) data. This data will affect career-technical planning districts’ technical skill attainment, placement and industry credential measures on the 2019 Ohio Career-Technical Education Report Cards. This is the only opportunity to appeal this data. A superintendent who finds inaccurate data should submit an appeal by the June 14 deadline using the 2019 CTE March Follow-Up Data Appeal.

The superintendent, EMIS coordinator and superintendent designee all can access and fill out the data appeal forms. However, the forms are not officially submitted to the Department until the superintendent approves the form to complete the process.

For more information about the data appeal window, timeline and completion process for superintendents, visit the EMIS Data Appeals webpage. For questions regarding data appeals, contact the Department's Office of Data Quality.
