CTE CTPD Files, Corrected
The CTE technical assessment files--listed below and available in the Report Collector--originally contained two errors. Both of these errors have been fixed and result in only a positive impact for the districts/CTPD.
The two files affected:
- 2017D_CTE_CTPD_TECH_ASSESSMNT_<LD IRN>_20170510.XLS
One error was in the calculation of the district program of concentration technical assessment participation denominator. All instances of a technical assessment being reported were being counted. This caused an increase in the denominator for those districts when students had more than one technical assessment reported.
The second error was in not removing those students who were “reported as a concentrator in error” in the CTPD technical assessment participation denominator. This caused the denominator to be larger than it really is.
The files currently available in the Report Collector are the corrected files.

Now Available: Maintenance of Effort Webinar Recording
The following message was sent out yesterday by the Department’s Office of Communications to those who initially received an invitation to the webinar.
The Ohio Department of Education and the Ohio Association of School Business Officials hosted an hour-long session focused on Treasurers and the requirements of the Maintenance of Effort (MOE) for ESEA and IDEA. Click here
for the recording and presentation slides.
This information session explained the differences between ESEA MOE and IDEA MOE, data used for calculations and the Department’s web-based systems. The session also provided guidance on how to avoid issues with data reporting and improper expenditure coding.
