EMIS Newsflash – May 30, 2017
Data Appeal Window Open for Fall Third Grade Reading Data
Beginning Tuesday, May 30, through Thursday, June 7, superintendents of traditional districts, community schools, and STEM districts may review fall third grade reading data reported to EMIS during the 2016-2017 school year and submit data appeals in cases where reported data is inaccurate.
If a superintendent has inaccurate data, he or she should submit an appeal by the June 8 deadline as described here,
using the “2017 Data Appeal for Fall 3rd Grade Reading” form within the Forms application in SAFE
The superintendent, EMIS coordinator, and superintendent designee have access to fill out the data appeal form. Note that the form is not officially submitted to the Department until the superintendent or designee approves the form to complete the process.
