FTE Daily Summary and CTE FTE Daily Summary Reports
Beginning on 11/20/2018, the last column displayed on the FTE Daily Summary reports (FTES-005, FTES-006, and FTES-006) and CTE FTE Daily Summary reports (CTEA-007, CTEA-008, and CTEA-009) represents the average FTE calculated over the past 30 days of the current year. Previously, this column represented the FTE from the prior year.

2018-2019 CTE Teacher Licensure Override
The Office of Career Technical Education has announced that the 2018-2019 CTE Teacher Licensure Override request process is open until April 19, 2019. Updated guidance and template documents are available online.

2018_Identification_Lists_Summary_Final_<filedate>
2018 Federal and State Identification Summary

This file contains a maximum total of six tabs for each public district (DIST_SUMMARY, PRIORITY, FOCUS, WARNING, DIST_WATCH, DIST_ORG_WATCH) and a maximum of two tabs for each community school or STEM school (PRIORITY_ORG, FOCUS_ORG, WARNING_ORG, WATCH_ORG). All buildings included in this file were identified for at least one of the lists. Districts that are not identified as Watch and have no buildings identified as Priority, Focus, Warning or Watch will still receive a file with the DIST_SUMMARY tab. Community schools and STEM schools not identified on any lists will not receive a file.

The DIST_SUMMARY tab contains the following data items:
  • IDENTIFICATION: The district’s overall identification
  • DISTRICT_WATCH_STATUS: Indicates whether the district was identified for Watch status for at least one subgroup
  • LRC_RATE_DESCR: The district’s overall grade on the 2018 Report Card
  • GRAD_RATE_4YR: The district’s 4-year graduation rate, as reported on the 2018 Report Card
  • GAP_CLOSING_18: The district’s Gap Closing component grade for 2018
  • GAP_CLOSING_17: The district’s Gap Closing component grade for 2017
  • PRIORITY_COUNT: The number of identified Priority schools within the district’s hierarchy
  • FOCUS_COUNT: The number of identified Focus schools within the district’s hierarchy
  • WARNING_COUNT: The number of identified Warning schools within the district’s hierarchy
The PRIORITY tab contains the data item PRIORITY_CRITERIA, which indicates the method by which the building was identified as Priority. The FOCUS, WARNING and DIST_ORG_WATCH tabs contain columns for each of the subgroups and whether the building was identified for that subgroup. The DIST_WATCH tab contains columns for each of the subgroups and whether the district was identified for that subgroup. The PRIORITY, FOCUS, WARNING and DIST_ORG_WATCH tabs contain the column ORG_STATUS, which indicates whether the building is open or closed in OEDS (all closed buildings were open during the 2017-18 school year).

Community schools and STEM schools that are identified on one of the federal lists will see one of three tabs (PRIORITY_ORG, FOCUS_ORG or WARNING_ORG). These tabs contain the same information as the PRIORITY, FOCUS and WARNING tabs in the public district files, as specified above. Any community school or STEM school identified as Watch will see the tab WATCH_ORG, which contains the same information as the DIST_ORG_WATCH tab in the public district files, as specified above.

2018 Federal and State Identification Data

This file contains a maximum of 19 tabs for each public district and a maximum of 15 tabs for each community school and STEM school (no buildings were eligible for Focus or Warning for the American Indian/Alaskan Native subgroup). The tabs contain information for all districts/buildings eligible for identification for that list and/or subgroup. Each tab indicates whether the district/building was or was not identified based on the data used. The following tabs outline the data columns included in each tab.

FEDERAL_GRAD_RATE
  • GRAD_COUNT: The number of students in the numerator of the federal graduation rate calculation
  • TOTAL_COUNT: The number of students in the denominator of the federal graduation rate calculation
  • GRAD_PCT: The federal graduation rate
  • PRIORITY_GRAD: Indicates whether the building was identified as Priority due to graduation rate

PRIORITY_DATA
  • OVERALL_COMPOSITE: Overall composite score for 2018, based on all graded measures for the building
  • OVERALL_GRADE: Overall letter grade for 2018, based on composite score
  • PRIORITY_SCHOOL_RANKING: Building’s Priority ranking based on composite score
  • TOTAL_RANKED: Total number of buildings eligible for Priority ranking
  • PRIORITY_STATUS: Indicates whether the building was identified as Priority due to ranking

FOCUS_<Subgroup Name>
  • ORG_COMPOSITE_17: Overall composite score for the subgroup for 2017
  • ORG_COMPOSITE_18: Overall composite score for the subgroup for 2018
  • PRIORITY_COMPOSITE_17: Overall composite score for all Priority schools for 2017
  • PRIORITY_COMPOSITE_18: Overall composite score for all Priority schools for 2018
  • GAP_CLOSING_17: Gap Closing component grade for 2017
  • GAP_CLOSING_18: Gap Closing component grade for 2018
  • FOCUS_RANK_18: Building’s overall ranking based on 2018 composite score for the subgroup
  • TOTAL_RANKED: Total number of buildings ranked for the subgroup
  • FOCUS_STATUS: Indicates whether the building was identified as Focus for the subgroup
  • WARNING_STATUS: Indicates whether the building was identified as Warning for the subgroup

DIST_WATCH_<Subgroup Name> / ORG_WATCH_<Subgroup Name>
  • ELA_PI: ELA Performance Index score for the subgroup in 2018
  • ELA_STDNT_COUNT: Number of students included in the ELA PI score calculation in 2018
  • VA_ELA: One-year value-added gain score in ELA for the subgroup in 2018
  • VA_ELA_COUNT: Number of students included in the ELA value-added score for the subgroup in 2018
  • ELA_SUBGRP_PTS: Number of ELA AMO improvement points in 2018
  • MATH_PI: Math Performance Index score for the subgroup in 2018
  • MATH_STDNT_COUNT: Number of students included in the Math PI score calculation in 2018
  • VA_MATH: One-year value-added gain score in Math for the subgroup in 2018
  • VA_MATH_COUNT: Number of students included in the Math value-added score for the subgroup in 2018
  • MATH_SUBGRP_PTS: Number of Math AMO improvement points in 2018
  • ELA_PI_AVG: State’s average ELA Performance Index score for the subgroup in 2018
  • MATH_PI_AVG: State’s average Math Performance Index score for the subgroup in 2018
  • WATCH_<Subgroup Name>: Indicates whether the district/building was identified for Watch status for the subgroup
