Data Review and Appeal Windows Open for 2016 Finance Data
The Office of Communications and Outreach sent the following message.

Beginning Monday, Sept. 19 through Friday, Sept. 30, treasurers of traditional districts, community schools, STEM districts and educational service centers may conduct their required reviews of their finance data submitted in EMIS. These data affect finance data on the 2016 Ohio School Report Cards and maintenance of effort (MOE) obligations for federal funding.

Treasurers are to signify whether these data are accurate as they complete the “Fiscal Year 2016 EMIS Data Review for Finance” form, which is within the Forms application in SAFE. If a treasurer has inaccurate data, he or she also should submit an appeal by the Sept. 30 deadline as described here, using the “Fiscal Year 2016 Data Appeal for Finance” form.

A data appeal form is not officially submitted to the department until the treasurer approves the form and completes the process. Please note that this form does NOT require superintendent approval.

Two Grad Related Reports Available
The STU_GRAD_TEST_REQ report and the GRAD_INFO report for the FY16 Graduate (G) Collection have been released.

The STU_GRAD_TEST_REQ  report has been updated to include the additional pathways students under the OGT requirement can now use to meet the testing requirement for graduation, with the exception of the WorkKeys pathway.

The GRAD_INFO currently does have one known issue that we are working to correct.  FY15 summer graduates who have a withdrawal code of ‘99’ reported during the FY16 reporting collection are currently listed on the report with a message indicating that a ‘99’ withdrawal code has been reported but a diploma has not be reported for the student.  If the student is a FY15 summer graduate and you are receiving this message for the student you may ignore the error for now.  We will send out a follow-up communication when this issue has been resolved.

If you have not yet received your reports, please contact your ITC.
