EMIS Newsflash – September 9, 2014
SDC Now Available
The Secure Data Center (SDC) is now open and your 2013-2014 Report Card data is available for review. The SDC will remain open until noon, Wednesday, Sept. 10. At that time, the department will disable access to the Data Center and the Report Card to prepare for the public release of data on Friday, Sept. 12 at 11:00 am.
The Ohio Department of Education recognizes that inadvertent data reporting errors can occur during the course of the year-end data submission period. Given the potential impact of these errors on the educational opportunities available to Ohio’s students, districts do have an opportunity to appeal to the department. The department will correct substantive reporting errors after the release of the 2013-2014 Report Cards. You will receive more details regarding the 2014 Data Appeals process following the release of the Report Cards.
SDC Release Notes
Known Issues Being Researched:
The district and school level Gifted Identified and Served reports in the Gifted Students folder in the Reports for Analysis folder do not include all identified and served gifted students.
The school level Enrollment reports are not showing enrollment for some buildings in a district while showing enrollment for other buildings in that same district.
The K-3 Literacy measure information is now available through new reports in the Local Report Card folder. Districts and community schools should review this data.
