Secure Data Center Information
ODE Office of Communications and Outreach sent the following message to district superintendents, treasurers, and other administrators.
As we announced yesterday, we expect the Ohio School Report Cards to be released Thursday, Sept. 15. To prepare for the release, we want to share with you some important information about several key dates.
Morning of Tuesday, Sept. 13
The Secure Data Center will close at 7 a.m. on Sept. 13 to allow us to prepare the technical systems for the 2016 Ohio School Report Cards release. The Secure Data Center will reopen as soon as possible after the Report Card release. The Secure Data Center and Report Card use the same IT systems, so both cannot be open until the volume of requests for Report Card data decreases.
With the exception of the 2016 Value Added results, the Secure Data Center currently reflects the district and building data and letter grades that you will see when the report card is released on Sept. 15. We encourage you to review this information prior to the close of the Secure Data Center on Sept. 13.
Tuesday, Sept. 13
The 2016 Value Added results will be available to districts for review in the Forms application no later than Tuesday, Sept. 13. Superintendents, treasurers and EMIS coordinators can access the Forms application via their SAFE accounts. We will notify superintendents via email when the Value-Added results are available for review.
Morning of Thursday, Sept. 15
The 2016 Ohio School Report Cards will be released the morning of Sept. 15. Prior to the public release, the department will provide via email a data file to superintendents, legislators and the media that will include letter grades for all districts and schools.
We encourage you to review the data in the Secure Data Center before Tuesday, Sept. 13.
As a reminder, the Ohio Department of Education is hosting a webcast to share details about what’s new on this year’s report cards and how Ohio raised expectations for students that reflect what it means to be college and career ready. The webcast will be on Wednesday, Sept. 14, at noon. Users will be able to find the grades and other data for all schools and districts, including community and other schools, at
