The Career-Technical Education Middle Grades Waiver form is now available. The waiver is accessible through the SAFE account. The district will have access to the form through the account linked to the Superintendent or Superintendent Designee. Here are the steps to completing the form:
Access the SAFE account at: https://safe.ode.state.oh.us/portal.
Click on the “Forms” link.
Click on the “CTE Middle School Waiver” box.
Fill out the waiver. Make sure that you answer all questions and upload the board resolution when prompted.
As you are filling out the waiver the status box will say, “In Process.” Once all necessary information has been provided it will update to “Completed.” The waiver process is not finished until the document updates to “Completed.”
Once the waiver is marked “Completed” you are done. You will receive no further communication regarding the form status.
Middle grades CTE waivers must be completed yearly. The deadline for completing this year’s waiver is September 30, 2015. If you have any questions or concerns please contact the Office of Career-Technical Education at 614-466-3430.
Reminder: September 30 is the deadline for completing the on-line validation process for teaching Career-Technical Education in middle grades for FY16. Details can be found at http://education.ohio.gov/Media/Ed-Connection/June-1-2015/Validation-process-for-career-technical-education. The on-line validation process will re-open April 2016 for FY17.

Each year on September 17, schools nationwide help students understand the U.S. Constitution and its significance by commemorating Constitution Day. Districts and schools receiving federal funds are required to plan an educational program celebrating Constitution Day.
