Updating OEDS Contact Information
There are several systems within the Department that upload contact information directly from the Ohio Educational Directory System (OEDS). Therefore, it is important that your contact information in OEDS remains current at all times. This will help ensure the appropriate person in your organization receives all communication from the Department. For help with assigning roles in OEDS, view guidance here or contact the Data Custodian for your organization type.
The T-2 report is due for submission by August 1. The T-2 report is the transportation expense report for pupil transportation. It directly affects a district's funding for special needs transportation.
Economically Disadvantage Survey
The Economically Disadvantaged Entity: Self-Report Survey
At the end of the fiscal year, each city, local, exempted village or joint vocational school district, community school, and STEM school must submit a report to the Ohio Department of Education describing the one or more initiatives on which the district or school spent its Economically Disadvantaged funds during that fiscal year. The report is required by Ohio law (Ohio Revised Code 3317.25).
The Economically Disadvantaged Entity: Self-Report Survey serves as a data tool to collect this information. Please find the survey within the Compliance System in SAFE. The survey will open July 2 and close Sept. 30.

Tuition period 1, enrollment dates 7/1/17 – 12/31/17
Correcting EMIS data (enrollment dates and district of residence) will correct any already existing tuition applications. The last day to update EMIS data is July 18, 2018. The deadline for data appeal requests is July 27. For the tuition application to proceed to payment, updates to all parental and court order information must occur by Aug. 16. Tuition applications needing flags or escalation must have those requests placed by Sept. 4.
Tuition period 2, enrollment dates 1/1/18 – 6/30/18
Reporting EMIS data (how received, enrollment dates and district of residence) will create new tuition applications until July 15, 2018. Correcting any EMIS data between July 16-18 will only make corrections to already existing tuition applications. The last day to update EMIS data is July 18. The deadline for data appeal requests is July 27, 2018. For the tuition application to proceed to payment, all parental and court order information must occur by Aug. 16. Tuition applications needing flags or escalation must have those requests placed by Sept. 4. to edit this placeholder text.
