Will I be reimbursed if I don’t pass the test the first time?
Teachers may be reimbursed for the original test and one retest.

What if I am not able to take the course or test this year, can I take it next year and still be reimbursed?
Provided that funds are still available, you will be able to apply for reimbursement of the course or test for the 2020-2021 academic year.

What if I am not in the categories of applicants who will receive priority, will I still be reimbursed?
Once the priority applications have been processed, the remaining applications will be processed prior to the start of the next semester.

Can the course be any computer science course?
No, the course must be a pedagogical course applicable to the grade levels in which the teacher will be teaching, not a computer science content course. (Note: A pedagogical content course is acceptable.)

Do I have to be a teacher to be reimbursed?
Yes, legislative requirements specify you must hold a valid Ohio teaching license.

No, these funds are for course or testing fees only.

No, these funds are for course or testing fees only.

What if I already have taken the course or test?
If you complete the course or test on or after July 1, 2019, it is included in the reimbursement window, and you may apply for reimbursement.
