In sharp contrast, however, February has also become known as Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month to focus attention on abuse in young people’s relationships and provide information to help prevent it.


New Requirements for All ODE-Licensed Providers

New federal and state requirements became effective Dec. 31, 2016 and they affect your program, which the Ohio Department of Education licenses. These new requirements resulted from changes made in September 2016 to the Child Care Development Block Grant (45 C.F.R. 98). Here are the amendments of child care rules that the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services, the lead Ohio agency, made.

Mckinney-Vento Bidders Conferences

The Department is hosting bidders conferences in March and April to learn more about the McKinney-Vento competitive grant opportunity. These sessions are designed to give interested and eligible districts the chance to get familiar with the grant, and ask questions regarding the grant opportunity.
