The Ohio Center for Law-Related Education is offering opportunities to enhance citizenship education
The Ohio Center for Law-Related Education (OCLRE) is offering the following to enhance citizenship education:
Looking for inquiry-based activity on the Ohio Constitution?
The Ohio Center for Law-related Education invites teachers to learn about We the People, an inquiry-based program with an authentic assessment activity. Students will discover the contemporary relevance of both the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. The program is based on materials developed by the Center for Civic Education and is nationally acclaimed by educators. We the People is aligned to the Ohio Learning Standards for Social Studies and English Language Arts. Attend the We the People state competition on Friday, Feb. 2 at the Ohio Statehouse. At the competition, observers will have a chance to observe the program and talk with participating teachers. New this year is a specific question and lesson based on the Ohio Constitution. Interested teachers should contact Tim Kalgreen at email@example.com or (614) 485-3515 for more information.
