Facing History and Ourselves offers summer seminar on the Reconstruction Era
The study of the Reconstructive Era in American history is essential to the understanding of citizenship and democracy. In the seminar, The Fragility of Democracy: The Reconstruction Era, participants will explore this significant period when Americans were faced with the challenge of restoring a nation following the social and political upheaval caused by the Civil War. The seminar will be held June 18-19, from 8 a.m.- 4 p.m. at the Society of Friends House, 10916 Magnolia, Cleveland, OH 44106.
