Revised Model Curriculum update
Ohio’s Model Curriculum for Social Studies is still under review by the State Board of Education. The Ohio Department of Education plans to post the approved version this summer. The 2019-2020 school year will be a transition year to the new standards. Full Implementation of the 2018 standards and revised American history and American government end-of-course tests will be in the 2020-2021 school year. Transition Tools are available now.
U.S. Senate Youth Program offers two students from each state a unique opportunity
The United States Senate Youth Program is a unique educational experience for outstanding high school students interested in pursuing careers in public service. The program selects two students from each state to attend a weeklong program in Washington, D.C. in March and receive a $10,000 college scholarship.
