The Center For Holocaust And Humanity Education Offers Programs For Teachers And Students

The Center for Holocaust and Humanity Education is open Monday-Thursday from 9 am to 5 pm and Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Center is also open on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Additional hours are available by appointment. Street Law, 2016 Supreme Court Summer Institute For Teachers

Street Law, Inc. and the Supreme Court Historical Society will sponsor two sessions of the annual Supreme Court Summer Institute, June 16-21 and June 23-June 28. The Institute is open to secondary level social studies teachers and supervisors, who will spend six stimulating days on Capitol Hill and inside the Supreme Court learning about the Court, its past and current cases, and how to teach about them from top Supreme Court litigators and educators.

National Endowment For The Humanities Offers Summer Teacher Workshop

The NEH Landmarks in American History and Culture Workshop for Teachers entitles “Graffiti Houses: The Civil War from the Perspective of Individual Soldiers,” will be offered in two sessions: Session 1: June 26-July 1, and Session 2: July 31-Aug. 5. Participants will learn how to use the history of ordinary individuals to personalize the history of the Civil War and make it powerful to students.
