Ohio's Learning Standards for English Language Arts (newly revised 2017)
The Ohio Learning Standards for English Language Arts (revised 2017) set expectations for all learners in reading, writing, speaking, listening and language arts. The standards define what students should know and be able to do, not how teachers should teach. Accordingly, English language arts teachers and Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) should review and consult with colleagues to apply the revised English language arts standards to the school’s language supports for English learners.
