Update 10/12/12 – P676 PBJ Pockets Grape, P677 PBJ Pockets Strawberry, P678 PBJ Pockets Grape Wheat, P679 PBJ Pockets Strawberry Wheat - Smucker’s Uncrustables Sandwiches

The USDA has changed the hold to a recall for a majority of Sunland, Inc. peanut butter products originally placed on hold. Previously, USDA indicated some of the Sunland product went to processors for further processed end products. If you receive Smucker’s Uncrustables Sandwiches product from the CO-OP or commercially, it is recommended you contact these providers for further information. 10/12/2012 notice

Therefore, if you received the below referenced product from the ODE Commodity Food Program, the Office for Child Nutrition, ODE Commodity Food Program is issuing a recall of the following items:

P676 PBJ Pockets Grape, P677 PBJ Pockets Strawberry, P678 PBJ Pockets Grape Wheat, P679 PBJ Pockets Strawberry Wheat the following (Smucker’s Uncrustables Sandwiches) Product Codes and must have a Best-If-Used-By-Dates between April 1, 2012 through November 14, 2012:

Product Codes: 5150006611, 5150006612, 5150006620, 5150006621, 5150006650, 5150006651, 5150006655, 5150006656, 5150006659, and 5150006660.

Please utilize the Destruction Verification Form for reporting the quantity of items destroyed as a result of this recall.

The Office for Child Nutrition, ODE Commodity Food Program requests you to review your inventory at all sites and it is recommended if you find P676 PBJ Pockets Grape, P677 PBJ Pockets Strawberry, P678 PBJ Pockets Grape Wheat, P679 PBJ Pockets Strawberry Wheat product items with the above Product Codes and with the Best-If-Used-By-Dates between April 1, 2012 through November 14, 2012:

  • immediately isolate and remove from use,
  • clearly label it so that it is not distributed or consumed,
  • place the product on hold, count the quantity to be supplied on the attached Destruction Verification Form and then destroy,
  • inform all recipients agencies, distributors, warehouses, and further processors that received this product from you about this notification.

It is recommended that you follow your local school policy and Health Department guidance for the destruction of the product.

If you receive AdvancePierre Foods PBJ Bars product from the CO-OP or commercially, it is recommended you contact these providers for further information.

The Office for Child Nutrition, ODE Commodity Food Program is issuing a recall of the following items: P750 PBJ Bars with Part Code 92100, Lot Numbers 1080130, 1080132, 1080133, 1080134, 1080135, 1090057, 1090280, 1090391 and 2020615.

It is recommended for you to review your inventory immediately and if you find the above referenced P750 PBJ Bars:

  • immediately isolate and remove from use,
  • clearly label it so that it is not distributed or consumed,
  • place the product on hold, count the quantity to be supplied on the attached Hold Verification Form,
  • inform all recipients agencies, distributors, warehouses, and further processors that received this product from you about this notification.
