Letters to Parents of Students Exiting the LEP Program
Districts should notify parents of students who are exiting limited English proficient (LEP) programs. Students exit LEP programs when their scores on the Ohio Test of English Language Acquisition indicate they have achieved the needed level of English proficiency to advance in classroom academics without additional language supports
To assist districts with their parent notifications, the Ohio Department of Education has translated the letters below into the most frequently used languages of LEP students.
