WATM18_One-1.jpgThere are rallies...and then there is We Are The Majority! It’s an annual celebration of student empowerment and positive choices as youth from across Ohio get ready for the 2019 We Are The Majority rally in Columbus on April 30. Click here to register for the event. Registration ends on April 24.

Did you know the majority of youth in Ohio don’t smoke, drink or use drugs? Content and messages shared on television, social media and video games create a false impression about young people. The fact is students are leading their peers in preventing substance misuse and promoting mental health wellness by getting involved in youth-led prevention.

Last year more than 2,100 middle and high school students from across Ohio marched in downtown Columbus to celebrate living substance free. Since the rally began in 2011, more than 12,000 youth have participated in this inspiring showcase of students and their positive community contributions.

WATM18_Three.jpgThe We Are The Majority rally is led by the Youth Council of the Ohio Youth-Led Prevention Network, a network of the Prevention Action Alliance.

Ohio’s Start Talking! prevention program proudly supports We Are The Majority and encourages conversations with youth about the importance of being drug-free. Student voice is critical to these drug prevention conversations. Remember to follow Start Talking! on Twitter and Like us on Facebook.
