Many young people consciously or unconsciously look to media to help them define who they are and what they want to become. Ideally, as parents, we would simply steer our children away from inappropriate media content and advertising. However, these ads represent a critical, teachable moment.
Do you KNOW! what an electronic cigarette and a toothpick have in common? They’re both nicotine products promoted as “helping adults to quit smoking,” yet they’re both haphazardly finding their way into the hands (and mouths) of our youth nationwide.
