CALAMITY DAYS - MAKEUP PLANS
If a community school has more hours on its school calendar than the minimum 920 hours required by statute and the community school declares a calamity day for a reason outlined in ORC 3306.01 and 3317.01, then the community school is not required to make up the time for this closure provided the minimum number of 920 hours required by statute is maintained.
In order for ODE to document compliance with this new provision contained in HB 36, we have developed the attached form to be completed by each community school (and reviewed by the sponsor).

POST SECONDARY ENROLLMENT OPTIONS PROGRAM
The Post Secondary Enrollment Options Program was established to permit high school students in grades nine through twelve to earn college and high school graduation credit through the successful completion of college courses.
