Intent to Participate in State Assessments Survey emailed to principals
As required by Ohio law, chartered nonpublic schools should inform the Ohio Department of Education of the intent to participate in state assessment programs by Aug. 1, 2014.
The Chartered Nonpublic Schools Intent to Participate Survey was emailed on Wednesday, May 7, by the Office of Curriculum and Assessment to the principals of chartered nonpublic schools. The survey was sent to the principal’s email address on record. The subject line of the email is Chartered Nonpublic Schools Intent to Participate. The deadline to submit the survey is Aug. 1, 2014.
Schools must respond to the survey whether or not they plan to participate in statewide assessments. Be aware that only those schools that submit an affirmative intent to participate will be allowed to give statewide assessments for the 2014-2015 school year. Answering “no” to participation or not responding to the survey will prevent your school from participating in statewide assessments for the 2014-2015 school year.
Reminder – Students receiving an EdChoice, Cleveland or Jon Peterson scholarship who are in Grades 3-8 and Grade 10 are required to take all statewide assessments each year.
