Spring 2014 OAA testing window expanded
Dr. Richard A. Ross, the state superintendent of public instruction, expanded the testing window for the Ohio Achievement Assessments (OAA). The extension covers the OAA for students in Grades 3-8.
The modified testing window will be April 21 through May 16. The first three weeks will serve as the actual testing weeks, and the fourth week will be the make-up week for students who were absent for testing.
Chartered nonpublic schools with students in Grades 3-8 who are currently receiving an EdChoice, Cleveland or Peterson Scholarship are required by law to administer the OAA to those students each year. While schools are not required to change their testing procedures in any way, they now have an additional week of testing time available this year if needed.
