Nearly 17,000 Ohio students who previously attended persistently under-performing public schools received an EdChoice Scholarship to attend a participating chartered nonpublic school for the 2013-2014 school year.

Cleveland Scholarship Program updates

The maximum scholarship amount for students in grades 9-12 has increased to $5,700 for the 2013-2014 school year. For students in grades K-8, the maximum scholarship amount remains $4,250.

The 2013-2014 scholarship award letters and acceptance forms for eligible renewal students and first-year applicants have been mailed. The deadline to accept the scholarship is Sept. 13.

The Ohio Educational Directory System (OEDS) is the Ohio Department of Education’s public directory of schools chartered in the state. Schools should check their OEDS record frequently to make sure that all information listed is current. If the information is not current or accurate, then it should be updated.
