March 7 - Please monitor RESA schedules to ensure timely completion of tasks

Last month, the department asked that resident educator program coordinators share the news about deadline extensions for RESA Tasks 2, 3, 4 and 5 to midnight Eastern Standard Time on Sunday, June 1, 2014. CISAM AIM Training Series (CATS) Now Available Online

The Center for Instructional Supports and Accessible Materials (CISAM) has just released a new online training opportunity, CISAM AIM Training Series (CATS), that provides information for the implementation of accessible instructional materials (AIM). The series is broken into 5 modules for easy access to specific AIM-related information.

K-3 Literacy Improvement

The K-3 Literacy Measure will appear on Ohio’s A-F Report Card in 2014. This grade answers the question—are more students learning to read in Kindergarten through third grade? The 2014 report card will report some results. The 2015 report card will display one grade for Kindergarten through Grade 3.

Know! Alert - Cough Syrup Abuse

In this Know! Alert we are warning teachers and school administrators about youth getting high on cough syrup. While young people abusing cough medicine is nothing new, is seems to have grown again in popularity, with one in 10 teens partaking nationwide.
