A student learning objective is a measurable, long-term academic growth target that a teacher sets at the beginning of the school year for all students or for subgroups of students. Student learning objectives demonstrate a teacher’s impact on student learning. The following are career tech SLO examples that are not intended to be inclusive. They serve as a guide for teacher SLO development by local districts. For overall SLO information, click here.
Ohio House Bill 59, the state’s current biennium budget bill, outlines career-technical planning district (CTPD) responsibilities related to guaranteeing that first-time General Educational Development (GED®) test takers will not have to pay any additional money when costs for the new computer-based version triple in 2014. Information about the test and requirements is provided in an Ohio Department of Education press release issued Aug. 6, 2013.
