Ohio career tech goes from program-based to course-based system

Ohio career tech goes from program-based to course-based system

A free “Transitioning to Courses” workshop is scheduled for Aug. 28 at Delaware Area Career Center. The purpose of the workshop is to explain and answer questions about three main changes in career field technical content standards – programs to courses, stronger industry connections and business operations and skills. Taking the Resident Educator Summative Assessment this year?

When third-year teachers take the Resident Educator Summative Assessment (RESA) this year, they will show evidence of the experience and knowledge they have gained through their first two years in Ohio’s Resident Educator program.


ODE and Battelle for Kids offering training in identifying and developing assessments for measuring student growth

Teachers as well as schools and districts implementing the Ohio Teacher Evaluation System this year will benefit from several training and support opportunities offered by ODE and Battelle for Kids. Nearly 100 one-day regional sessions will be offered this year to help educators develop "assessment literacy" by learning to select and develop assessments that measure student growth.
