Enrollment, Testing and Discipline Data for Students with Disabilities
Most data related to students with disabilities collected by the Ohio Department of Education (ODE) is reported publicly through the iLRC. The iLRC provides web access to the ODE data warehouse, offering the public opportunities to explore the available data.
When one selects a particular report, the data that is displayed is the most frequently requested combination of data elements. However, the user can often drill to much more detail. For example, a reader might select a “test results” report, and interactively build a report that displays test results for students with IEPs (called “disability flag” in the data warehouse and those without). After examining this report, the reader might wish to know test results for students who were alternately assessed and can drill to the “required test type.”
Federally reported data:
The federal Office of Special Education Programs collects much data from each state. Each state must share the most recent final data with the public. The most recent data summarized by the federal office is found at here
. To find Ohio data, click on the small triangle in the first row of Column B (State Name), and select “Ohio.” Data based on student groups of fewer than ten students is reported as “<10” to protect student privacy.
