Student Wellness and Success Resources for Districts and Community Partners

Several Ohio Department of Education resources and programs can help districts as they begin working with community partners to develop their student wellness and supports spending plan. Here are just a few initiatives the funds can pay for:

City Connects programming

City Connects is an evidence-based approach to student support that meets federal ESSA and Ohio requirements and offers a systemic approach to addressing the out-of-school factors that can impede a student’s ability to succeed and thrive in school.

Professional development regarding the provision of trauma-informed care

Professional development regarding cultural competence

Student services provided prior to or after the regularly scheduled school day or any time school is not in session
