Ohio’s Master Teachers may renew expiring designations

The Ohio Department of Education is offering an expedited one-time renewal opportunity to all master teachers whose designations have expired or will expire by June 30, 2016. In making this provision available, the department recognizes that many master teachers are due for renewal for the first time (since the program began about five years ago). We wish to recognize how important it is for these Ohio’s teacher-leaders to maintain their designation.



VI Guidance Document Available Online

2014-2015 PARCC Test Items Released

A selection of test questions that were given on the PARCC assessment last year are now available online. While Ohio is no longer using PARCC, these items are a useful tool to inform classroom instruction and give parents insight into the kinds of questions students experienced on tests. 


License renewal begins Nov. 1

Educators who are ready to request renewal of their license credentials for 2016 may do so beginning Nov. 1. Please note that e-signers should pay special attention to the effective year of the licensure request, and change it to the correct effective year if necessary before approving the request.
