4/28/14 - Funding reimbursement requests due June 30

The process to request $350 funding for each first-year resident educator working in a public district, chartered community school, educational service center, career center or joint vocational school is open in the state’s CORE system. The deadline to submit a resident educator program funding request is June 30. Because these are federal funds, they may not be allocated to private preschool or chartered nonpublic organizations. Resident educator funds may be used to support mentor training, mentor stipends and/or professional development for resident educators, mentors, principals and program coordinators. The funding codes for expenditures that tap these funds are: CFDA – 84.395, and USAS – 506. Please note that this is the last year these funds will be available.  Detailed directions for eligible entities to access these funds can be found here.
