Dec. 11 Update – RESA Task 1 Deadline Extended to Dec. 22, 2013
The Ohio Department of Education has extended the deadline to submit Task 1 for the Resident Educator Summative Assessment (RESA) by one week to midnight, Eastern Standard Time on Sunday, Dec. 22, 2013. The extension is granted to give candidates additional time to complete the “My Profile” section, to complete Task 1 and to resolve any issues related to uploading and segmenting video.
Teachscape will update the RESA Task Deadline in the online submission system at midnight, Pacific Standard Time on Friday, Dec. 13, 2013. Until that time, the deadline will still appear as Dec. 15, but all candidates should know that they will have until midnight (EST) on Dec. 22 to finish Task 1.
Notwithstanding the new Dec. 22 Task 1 deadline, no candidate will be prohibited from submitting Task 1 due to a technical problem uploading a video or completing his or her Profile. Teachscape’s Help Desk will have the authority to grant additional extensions to candidates who, as a result of a documented technical error in the RESA submission system, cannot meet the Dec. 22 deadline.
If you have questions about the Task 1 extension or are having difficulties completing your Profile and/or Task 1, please contact the Teachscape Help Desk at firstname.lastname@example.org or by calling toll-free (855) 538-8634, Monday through Friday, 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. EST. In an effort to accommodate the increased demand for support, Teachscape will be extending its Help Desk hours to 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. EST, effective Thursday, Dec. 12, 2013.
Thank you for your continued patience as we work to ensure that all candidates are able to successfully complete the RESA.
