Opinion writing covered in new FIP in Action modules for Grades 3 and 5
Looking for ideas to help students write well-reasoned opinion pieces on topics or texts? The newest Formative Instructional Practices (FIP) in Action modules for Grades 3 and 5 include many examples for how to teach the opinion writing portion of Ohio’s Learning Standards. By completing this module, participants develop a deeper understanding of the opinion writing standard and how related skills and knowledge will build over time. In addition, they will learn more about clarifying intended learning, using pre-assessments and evaluating student work.
