Fifth-grade submissions to Amber Alert poster contest due Feb. 27
Schools now have until Feb. 27 (rather than the original Feb. 1 deadline) to submit state-level entries to the National Missing Children’s Day poster contest for fifth-grade students. Each school should submit their best poster to the Missing Children’s Clearinghouse of the Ohio Attorney General’s office, which will select a state winner to send to the national sponsor, the U.S. Department of Justice (USDOJ).
Ohio elementary schools can encourage all their children to practice safety tips by conducting local contests and incorporating related lesson plans into the curriculum. To view contest rules, the application and resources, please visit the press room section of the Ohio Amber Alert website. This website also provides prevention tips and notes for parents. Additional information is available on the USDOJ website. Questions may be directed to Vicki Germann at firstname.lastname@example.org, (800) 325‐5604 or (614) 466‐1711.
