Register for a free advanced placement June workshop
The department is offering a series of one-day workshops from June 16 to 25 in Toledo, Cincinnati and Columbus for high school teachers who are interested in refreshing and improving their teaching of advanced placement courses. The agenda will include teaching strategies for courses in U.S. history, government, physics, chemistry, statistics, English literature and Spanish.
Through these intensive workshops, participants will gain resources including syllabi, lesson plans, assignments, handouts and a handbook. They also will learn more about the College Board’s advanced placement examination for each content area and recent changes in course descriptions aligned with the exams. Teachers can earn continuing education units. Register for a workshop through your SAFE account by accessing the STARS system and searching for advanced placement on the event name line.
