Value-added professional learning sessions and free guidebooks available
In-person learning sessions and a free guidebook are among the resources now available to prepare for the release of teacher value-added reports in mid-November:
Using Value-Added Reports to Inform Professional Practice – These sessions will help teachers and administrators learn to use various SAS® EVAAS® data to accelerate student learning. Participants will gain a better understanding of how to interpret and make diagnostic use of district, school and teacher-level value-added reports. Select one of 12 sessions scheduled across the state. Register in in STARS, keyword Reports. For more information, click here or contact Erica Siddle.
Free Guidebooks – These books spotlight the use of value-added data to impact teaching and learning. The guidebooks help develop knowledge of how to interpret and use value-added reports to inform professional practices, using sample value-added, diagnostic and student projection reports, combined with reflective scenarios. Download the guidebooks and access more free value-added resources on Battelle for Kids’ Ohio Portal.
Other free resources geared towards teachers that support understanding of the actual value-added measures include online courses and a video series to support self-paced, anytime learning.
