Licensure process going paperless
The process for submitting and reviewing teacher licensure applications is moving to a paperless system by January. Teachers already can apply for licenses and renewals online through the CORE My Educator Profile if the individuals designated to review and approve applications register as electronic application signers.
Individuals serving the following roles may review and approve license applications: superintendents or superintendent designees; credential e-signers; coordinator and coordinator designees for Local Professional Development Committees (LPDCs); and dean or dean-designees – colleges of education. These individuals can learn how to sign up as e-signers online. E-signers will need to have a SAFE account with a current email address, and have their role designated in the Ohio Educational Directory System Redesign to complete the process.
